Terms & Conditions

Events By Design GLA LTD

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Events By Design GLA LTD (“EBD”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Bookings & Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once:

  • A 30% deposit has been received, and

  • Written confirmation has been issued by Events By Design GLA LTD.

Verbal agreements or provisional discussions do not constitute a confirmed booking.

2. Payments

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking date.

  • The final balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the event date.

  • Payment details (bank transfer or cash) will be provided in the official quotation or invoice.

Failure to pay the final balance by the required time may result in cancellation of services without refund.

3. Cancellations

  • All deposits are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations by the client.

  • If the client cancels the event after the deposit has been paid, no refund will be issued.

  • If cancellation occurs after full payment, no refund will be provided.

4. Change of Event Date

  • Requests to change the event date are subject to availability.

  • Events By Design GLA LTD cannot guarantee availability for alternative dates.

  • If the new date is unavailable, the original booking will be treated as a cancellation and the deposit will remain non-refundable.

5. Design, Styling & Visual References

  • Inspiration images, sample setups and reference photographs are provided as a guide only.

  • Actual setups may differ slightly due to venue layout, logistics, availability of materials, or design improvements made on the day.

  • Colours, florals and styling elements are subject to availability and seasonal supply.

6. Venue Access & Setup Requirements

  • We require access to the venue at least one day before the event.

  • If this is not possible, a minimum of 8 hours prior to the event start time is required.

  • If venue access is delayed, restricted or denied, Events By Design GLA LTD will not be held responsible for incomplete or altered setups.

  • For health and safety reasons, no client, family members or guests are permitted to be present at the venue during setup.

    Access during setup is restricted to Events By Design GLA LTD staff and approved venue personnel only. Any exceptions must be discussed and agreed upon in writing prior to the event date.

    Events By Design GLA LTD reserves the right to pause or delay setup if unauthorised persons are present and will not be held responsible for any resulting delays, incomplete setups or design changes.

7. Damage, Loss & Liability

  • The client is fully responsible for all EBD equipment, décor items and props from the time of setup until collection.

  • Any damage, loss or theft will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.

  • Items must not be moved, altered or handled by guests, venue staff or third parties without prior approval.

8. Health & Safety

  • Clients and guests must not interfere with décor structures, staging, electrical items or installations.

  • Events By Design GLA LTD accepts no responsibility for injuries or damages resulting from misuse or interference with décor items.

9. Photography & Marketing Use

Events By Design GLA LTD retains the full right to use photographs and videos taken at events for:

  • Website content

  • Social media

  • Marketing and promotional materials

If you wish to opt out, this must be requested in writing prior to the event date.

10. Force Majeure

Events By Design GLA LTD shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather

  • Illness or injury

  • Venue restrictions or closures

  • Supplier or transport failure

  • Government regulations or restrictions

In such cases, liability is limited to services already delivered.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the total value of the booking. Events By Design GLA LTD shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
